About · Podgorica · Since 1973

More than half a century of Omladinac.

Omladinac Karate Club was founded in 1973 in Podgorica, and karate has been its primary identity ever since. Today the club brings together more than 300 active members across three locations, with both karate and MMA programs.

Origins

It started in 1973.

The club was founded in 1973 by Nikola Raković. The first session took place in the sports hall of the „Sergije Stanić“ secondary school — a space never built for elite sport, but enough to start a school of karate.

What began as work with a handful of young people from Podgorica grew into a club that generations have passed through, and into a place that still operates on the same principles: work, discipline and continuity.

Philosophy

We build champions.

For us the word champion carries two meanings. One is measured in medals, placings and national-team appearances. The other is measured in what a child takes away from the dojo — from a healthy environment — long after they stop competing.

That is why the work at Omladinac does not end with a result. The result is a consequence of character, built day after day in training.

The competitive level of the club depends directly on its coaching standard — from the way a beginner group is led to the preparation for European and world championships.

Club and national team

From the club floor to the national team.

Omladinac is not only a place to train karate. The club is part of a system that leads from a first session to the Montenegro national team jersey.
